Lubricating oil is generally composed of base oil and additives. Base oil is the main component of lubricating oil, which determines the basic properties of lubricating oil. Additives can make up and improve the deficiencies in the performance of base oil, endowing some new properties, and are an important part of lubricating oil.
Base oil:
Lubricant base oils are mainly divided into three categories: mineral base oils, synthetic base oils and biological base oils. Mineral base oils are widely used with a large amount (about 95%), but in some applications, products formulated with synthetic base oils and bio-oil base oils must be used, thus making these two base oils develop rapidly.
The chemical composition of mineral base oils includes high boiling point, high molecular weight hydrocarbons and non-hydrocarbon mixtures. Its composition is generally alkanes (straight chain, branched chain, multi-branched chain), naphthenes (monocyclic, bicyclic, polycyclic), aromatics (single-ring aromatics, polycyclic aromatics), cycloalkyl aromatics and oxygen-containing, nitrogen-containing, sulfur-containing organic compounds and non-hydrocarbon compounds such as colloids and asphaltenes.
Bio-based oils (vegetable oils) are becoming more and more popular because they can biodegrade and rapidly reduce environmental pollution. As all industrial companies in the world today are looking for measures to reduce environmental pollution, and this "natural" lubricant has this feature. The advanced lubricants produced by our company at present have been in trade cooperation and exchanges with domestic and foreign energy enterprises.
